I have just added a RV Blog Network to the RVThereYet directory. I am trying to create a bit of community amongst RVers who blog and all their collective readers. RVers can read your blog about a certain RVing subject and then read another blog on the subject. A lot of valuable information can be gleaned when we all get together. All your posts on the network link back to your blog and it's posts, so you should see an increase in traffic when the network really gets going.

If you would like to add your blog please visit http://www.rvthereyet.cc/blog/add-your-blog/ and follow the directions.

Kind regards,

Kenny Scott

It is now the end of the season. So sad. We have so much fun at Mighty Joe's campground. Bathrooms are clean, the grounds are clean. Bags are there to pick up dog messes and barrels to dump it into. There are books to read and a computer to use if you don't bring your own. Playgrounds for the kids, 2 beaches, docks for boats. Nice areas to walk and hike. Tennis and basket ball areas. Shade and sun for everyone. Bands on occasions which are great to hear and dance to. Gary has all kinds of flowers every year and is always planting new things. The 4th of July is great. The tractor parade is so cute. Even when you party to late, Gary comes around to remind you. I love Gary for that. Sorry.
There are different things threw out the season. One visit is not enough.
I love this campground. I would love a sesonal site and enough work at this campground.

Susan, thanks for your comment. Your explanation of the origin of the Mi-Te-Jo name is interesting. I wonder if the present owners, Susan (!) and Gary, are aware of that? I'll ask the next time we're there. I've heard that Mi-Te-Jo was a party place in its earlier years, but it wasn't put as positively as your recollection. Just goes to show that people's experiences are sometimes truly "in the eye of the beholder." We certainly like the place tremendously now. Come on back! We'd love to meet you. Site C - during every Father's Day week.

My family went camping at Mi-Te-Jo's for years.....I have very fond memories of it from the 1980's. It was a bit of a party place, but it somehow was also very family oriented and safe at the same time. We were seasonal campers. The truth about the name.....Mi stood for Micah, the owners' son's name, Te was for Ted, the owner and Jo was Joan, his wife. That simple. Although I'm not a camping fan anymore, I am sentimental about Mi-Te_Jo's where I spent my childhood and teen years. I see they have cabins now for rent....maybe someday I'll go back.

Mark, on November 23rd, I sent you an email at mark@iss4locks.com. Basically, I mentioned that I visited your web site and immediately saw that you had added a very noticable link entitled "Attention RV'ers
Security Alert." I followed the link and you do a good job of explaining why my RV is at risk and you provide instructions about how to install a replacement lock. Unfortunately, when I click "How to Order," I'm taken to a page on how to measure for the correct lock, but there's no shopping cart, or link to a page where I can actually order replacement locks. If I follow the "Order Online" link in your left navigation menu, it takes me to your ecatalog on thomasnet.com. This seems intended for wholesale buyers - I can select from many types of locks, can "Add to RFQ," all locks seem to be available only in multi-unit lots, etc. I don't need 25 locks! I can only ask again: why advertize to consumers and then not make it EASY for them to buy your products? Camping World does.

Thanks, Mark, for your comments. I will send you an email with a few more thoughts now that I have revisited your company's web site. In another lifetime, I did own a small manufacturing company and so I'm familiar with the process of commercial/industrial purchasing. But, as I'm sure you know, your ad is addressing a consumer audience. I see that your site now has a stand-out link clearly referencing the RVers Security Alert issue. There are a couple of CH751 locks on my travel trailer that need replacements, so I'll be back!

Thanks for the kind comment on the blog. I was curious, too, about why this post should show up in the results using the search phrase you mentioned. So, I searched both Google and Yahoo! using that phrase - with and without surrounding quotes. Went 10 pages deep and for-camping.com didn't make an appearance. Guess you must have used some other search engine. Anyway, thanks again.
